Following, Hoping, Twiddle-dee-dee..

Another Hoppity Friday! Possibly my favorite part of the week, getting to meet new friends and bloggers. Thank you for visiting me, Amanda, and my little corner of the Blogosphere, Novel Addiction. A bit about me.. I'm about to turn 24 - Birthday on  July 16th!!! - and I work in a library. I read a lot of paranormal romance and urban fantasy, but I love branching out to contemporary or historical romance, and even the odd science fiction, or mystery. I'm also a big supporter of Young Adult Fiction, and I read it... a lot.

If you'd like to follow me on Goodreads or Twitter, check out the links on my left hand sidebar. AND! Next week is a big CELEBRATION with author guest posts and giveaways, to celebrate both my birthday and Novel Addiction's 2nd anniversary! Make sure to go check out the schedule. And you never know, I might throw in another something extra. Now, the hops!

Promote a giveaway - and it can't be your own! I found a good one! Reading Between the Wines Book Club has a giveaway for "Beg for Mercy" by Jami Alden. I looooved this book. Definitely go check it out and try to win a copy! Go HERE to enter.

Let's step away from the besties. What's the worst book you've ever read that you actually finished? Oooh, tough one! Well, I'd have to say either the entire run of the Twilight series - I know this book has a lot of fans, and I'm sorry, but there were a lot of themes in this book that made me very upset - and "The Blue Enchantress" by M.L. Tyndall - the hero constantly looked down on the heroine, and even when she found god, and "made everything better".. he's like "Oh well, she's still tainted though." yet ended up marrying her.

Blogger confession: What's the last book you could not finish, or had a hard time finishing? The very last book was "Infernal Affairs" by Jes Battis. I was excited about it at first, but I had not been assigned/read the first books in the series, and it was just too tough to read and review this one, way too confusing. I also couldn't finish "Halo" by Alexandra Adornetto.. it just felt like nothing happened.

Can't wait to go hopping. Have a wonderful weekend. And as always, Happy Reading!

Thank you for stopping by, I'm returning the favor! :)

I enjoyed the Twilight series, but I wouldn't call it great either. I am pretty partial to the movies though; but that could be the casting!

Never read the other pick, but now I have something to not add to my TBR list. Have a great weekend!

Anyone who knows me well knows that I have a thing against Twilight and several other very popular YA series because of an overarching theme I heavily disagree with, but now isn't the time to talk about that, LOL. But yeah, I don't like them, either.

Happy Friday, and new follower here!

Worst book that I still finished?

Tie. "Servant: The Awakening" by L.L. Foster or "Dancing with Werewolves" by Carole Nelson Douglas. I tried and felt obligated to see if either improved but they didn't. I wish I could have those few hours of my life back.

Hi! I'm a new follower from the FF Hop. So funny how so many people are saying the Twilight Saga as the worst book. I didn't care for them, but they weren't completely terrible. hahaha

Hopping through. I'm sorry you didn't like Twilight. I love it but I really understand why people don't.
