The Marquis of Wythebury, is expecting an ordinary Christmastide at Hurst—until he is set upon by a beautiful miss who takes him to task for not allowing his young nephews to play outside. In his mind, a five and seven year old needn’t get chilled in the snow; better to plop them in front of the fire with a book. Few people have ever been brave enough to challenge him over anything, much less the rearing of his wards. The cheeky Miss Prim has no such compunction. No matter how fetching he finds her, he can’t give in to his attraction…for she is the sister of his best friend.
Growing up the middle child of five rambunctious girls, Lillian Prim doesn’t understand why two young boys visiting Hurst don’t know how to play until she meets their dashing guardian. The Marquis of Wythebury is commanding and intensely serious-minded. To her surprise, she’s captivated by him. It’s all she can do not to give into her feminine fantasies about her kissing him. Lillian has no intention of falling in love with the Marquis, but she will create Christmastide mischief and teach the boys and the handsome Marquis how to play.

Review: NO ONE CANCELS CHRISTMAS by Zara Stoneley!

Review: I know, I know, it's not even Halloween and here I am reading a Christmas book. But hey, it's never too early to start celebrating the holidays, and it's definitely always the right time to read such a sweet romance as this was! This is my first book by this author, but my goodness, I'm definitely looking into others. With how much I enjoyed her style, I'm amazed I haven't read her sooner.

This was just so amazingly sweet. I loved Will and Sarah, and you could really see the sparks between these two. With romance, you know the two will end up together, but it doesn't always feel instantly right, but it definitely did here. They were perfect together, and I loved learning the secret behind Will's grinchy attitude. Definitely recommended for everyone looking to get their holiday reads off to the perfect start!

Cover Lovin': How cute!

Recommendation: Stand Alone, no prior knowledge necessary.

Final Rating: FOUR out of FIVE stars (4/5)!!! Wonderful, sweet, and definitely recommended.

No One Cancels Christmas
It’s the most magical time of the year, and for travel agent Sarah it’s also the busiest! But this year one man threatens to ruin Christmas for Sarah’s customers – Mr Grinch, Will Armstrong.
The Shooting Star Mountain resort is a magical place, and Sarah has fond memories of Christmas here as a little girl – visits to Father Christmas, husky rides in the snow and hot chocolate by a roaring fire. But as the resorts new owner, Will refuses to play snowball or to deck the halls with anything remotely resembling tinsel!
With customers complaining their Christmas is ruined, Sarah decides it’s up to her to convince Scroogey Will just how magical Christmas can be….
But getting Will into the Christmas spirit is hopeless – he is Bah Humbug personified! But as Sarah gets to know him better, she realises that underneath all the gloom is a man struggling with a pain of his own.
With the big day approaching, Sarah realises that the magic and sparkle can wait. This year, she’s going to spend Christmas day with someone special her very own Mr Scrooge…

Author Bio –
Born in a small village in Staffordshire, I wanted to be a female James Herriot, a spy, or an author when I grew up. After many years, and many different jobs, my dream of writing a bestseller came true.

I write about friendship, dreams, love, and happy ever afters, and hope that my tales make you cry a little, laugh a lot, and occasionally say 'ahhh'.

I now live in a Cheshire village with my family, a lively cockapoo called Harry, and a very bossy (and slightly evil) cat called Saffron.

Review: HOT WINTER NIGHTS by Jill Shalvis!

Release Date: 9-24-2018

Type: Contemporary, Romance, Series, Book 6, Christmas/Seasonal/Holiday

About the Book: Who needs mistletoe?

Most people wouldn't think of a bad Santa case as the perfect Christmas gift. Then again, Molly Malone, office manager at Hunt Investigations, isn't most people, and she could really use a distraction from the fantasies she's been having since spending the night with her very secret crush, Lucas Knight. Nothing happened, not that Lucas knows that — but Molly just wants to enjoy being a little naughty for once...

Whiskey and pain meds for almost-healed bullet wounds don't mix. Lucas needs to remember that next time he's shot on the job, which may be sooner rather than later if Molly's brother, Joe, finds out about them. Lucas can't believe he's drawing a blank on his (supposedly) passionate tryst with Molly, who's the hottest, smartest, strongest woman he's ever known. Strong enough to kick his butt if she discovers he's been assigned to babysit her on her first case. And hot enough to melt his cold heart this Christmas.

My Review: Jill Shalvis is one of those authors that I always enjoy, but every time I pick up a new book by her, I'm reminded just how much I love her, and how perfectly sweet her stories are. Her heroes are hot, her heroines are women I respect and would gladly be friends with, and the drama is genuine. From the first scene - the awkward wake up with no idea how he got into bed with her - to the ending, I was hooked.

This is technically a best friends-younger-sister romance, though Molly is Lucas' partner's sister, not necessarily his best friend. Both Lucas and Molly are damaged and closed off in their own ways, but you can see both of them start to open up when they're around each other. And the teasing.. I loved whenever they teased each other. It was so cute, fun, and usually - very hot. This was an awesome story, and I loved every second of it!

Cover Lovin': So cute and sweet!

Recommendation: Even though it's book six, it can be read as stand alone.

Final Rating: FIVE out of FIVE stars (5/5)!! Jill Shalvis remains one of my go-to's for a solid, feel-good romance.

REVIEW: "Krampus!" by Brian Jones, Dean Kotz

Disclaimer: I received a free e-copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Type: Graphic Novel, Comic Books, Holiday, humor, Friendly Neighborhood Krampus!

About the Book: Meet the Krampus, yuletide terror and punisher of wicked children. Long imprisoned for his outdated methods, the holiday horror suddenly finds himself freed and tasked with a mission: recover the stolen power of the Secret Society of Santa Clauses! With his flying wolf Stutgaard, the Krampus crosses the globe, encountering various figures of winter lore and uncovering a sinister scheme to topple the Santas and change Christmas as we know it forever! Collects Krampus! #1-5 and extras, including all-new material. [Summary provided by Goodreads.com]

My Review: I saw this on Netgalley and couldn't pass up the chance to read it. I was looking for something to get me in the Christmas spirit - and what better than Krampus! For those unfamiliar with the story of Krampus, check out the Wikipedia page, it's worth a read. I'm not sure how close this version of Krampus is to the original, but I can say it was a fun, holiday-themed read!

I chuckled quite a few times while reading this graphic novel, and I couldn't wait to see what Winter or Christmas themed object or character they would throw in next. If you're looking for something wow worthy, this will probably let you down (hence why it isn't a full five star rating), but if you want a fun read while curled up under the blankets with a mug of hot cocoa? This is the perfect book for you.

Cover Lovin': How could you turn down a cover like that? Definitely eye-catching. Totally gets you in the holiday spirit!

Recommendation: For fans of humorous graphic novels. Or maybe for people that just love reading anything Christmas-y around the holiday.

Final Rating: FOUR out of FIVE stars (4/5). Hilarious! Great fun. Definitely worth a read.

Happy Reading!
