My review: I have been a giant fan of Jeaniene Frost since the second Night Huntress book was released, which is when I discovered them. And honestly, I've been waiting for Ian's story since the beginning. But I remember reading a review Jeaniene Frost did, and she said something along the lines of Ian having not grown up enough yet. And honestly, it made sense. But the further the Night Huntress series, and its spin-offs, went, the more you could see Ian developing into who he needed to be to get his own story. And I thought I was ready, but I was so not prepared.
I could not put this down. It is for sure a one-sitting read. In fact, I wasn't even aware how long I had been sitting in one position, eagerly turning pages, until I finished, stood up, and heard all my joints crackle. But I had to know what was going to happen. I loved reading about Ian and Veritas snarking at each other, starting to fall in love, trying to get out of the different scrapes they find themselves in.. It was all wonderful.
This is Jeaniene Frost at her best. She brought everything we loved about her complex and entertaining plots, all the characters we know and love, and mixed in a grumpy older Law Guardian and a snarky-yet-noble scoff-law. I cannot wait for the next book!!
About the Book: In this thrilling new Night Rebel series set in New York Times bestselling author Jeaniene Frost’s Night Huntress world, sexy and ruthless vampire Ian finally meets his match!
The Rule Breaker
Master vampire Ian is unrepentant, shameless…and every shade of wicked. He’s made one too many enemies in his two centuries of existence, including Dagon, a demon who now lays claim to his soul. Ian’s only chance to escape Dagon is to join forces with a Law Guardian, but he’s never been able to abide by the rules for long.
The Law Maker
Veritas’ normal role is police, judge and jury to reprobates like Ian. But she has her own ax to grind with Dagon, so if she can use Ian as bait…well, all’s fair in law and war. As they scour supernatural hotspots to perfect their trap, Veritas soon realizes Ian’s devil-may-care, roguish image hides something much more powerful. And Ian discovers that Veritas has shocking secrets of her own. As they’re drawn to each other with a passion as intense as their peril, either love or justice will prevail. But each will have devastating consequences…
Cover Lovin': I wish Ian's hair would look redder, but otherwise, I love it!
Recommendation: Can be read without the rest of the Night Huntress world, but some knowledge of it would definitely help.
Final Rating: FIVE out of FIVE stars (5/5)!!! I knew when Ian finally got his own story that it would be EPIC, and I was so not disappointed! But how am I supposed to wait until the next book?!?!

Review & Promo: THE FIX-UP by Kendall Ryan!
Release Date: October 11th, 2016
Type: Romance, Contemporary Romance, Stand-alone, Friends-to-lovers, Alpha males, spin-off, Accents!!
My Review: The second I saw that Sterling was getting his own book, I knew I had to read this. I loved Sterling's commentary in the Hitched series, and it's about time this British playboy gets his own time to shine. And as my long time readers already know, I'm a sucker for arranged marriages, or marriages of convenience - and how lucky for me that Hitched had the former, and now The Fix- Up has the latter!

I also have to commend the author for going against the whole "takes the player hero forever to realize he actually likes the heroine" trope. Very early on, Sterling knows he likes Camryn, but initially stays away because he can't see it going anywhere and he thinks she deserves more. And when he gets a chance to get close to her - he decides to take full advantage. I loved the banter between these two. I had some issues with the timeline, understanding how much time had passed between scenes, but other than that, I thought this was a truly fun read.
Cover Lovin': Yummy!
Recommendation: No prior knowledge necessary! Born Sterling and Camryn had small roles in Hitched, but this works just fine as a stand alone.
Final Rating: FOUR out of FIVE stars (4/5)! Adorably sweet, and fantastically fun. Kendall Ryan writes another winner!

From New York Times Bestseller, Kendall Ryan, comes a sexy new standalone novel.
My tempting, and very alpha friend Sterling Quinn is someone I consider off-limits.
It's not just that we're friends, he's also cocky, confident, and British, which means he's a walking aphrodisiac.
But lately he's been giving me the look. You know the one. When he thinks I'm not paying attention, and his gaze lingers for too long.
And then we start working together, and that's when the sexual tension between us gets so thick, I want to hack through it with a machete. I want to make all these deep feelings I've harbored for him disappear, because there's no way this can end well.
The lines between business and pleasure become irrevocably blurred, and I'm stuck between a rock, and Sterling's very, very hard place.
Rather than keep a level head about our growing attraction, Sterling wants to go all in, showing me just how explosive we can be together.
But I've been around long enough to know that this British bad boy is more than my heart can handle. I'm not about to be cast aside like yesterday's underwear when he's done having fun.
Sterling’s never been told no, and he's not about to put his ego aside and play by my rules. But I never thought he'd fight so dirty.
A New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author of more than two dozen titles, Kendall Ryan has sold over 1.5 million books and her books have been translated into several languages in countries around the world. She's a traditionally published author with Simon & Schuster and Harper Collins UK, as well as an independently published author. Since she first began self-publishing in 2012, she's appeared at #1 on Barnes & Noble and iBooks charts around the world. Her books have also appeared on the New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists more than three dozen times. Ryan has been featured in such publications as USA Today, Newsweek, and InTouch Magazine.

I twist the doorknob, and finding it unlocked, let myself inside. Sterling’s place is compact, but modern and classy. It suits him. After a quick glance around the living space, I spot him on the balcony outside, just beyond the glass doors at the far end of the living room. He’s facing away from me, his hands gripping the railing, his head bowed. My smile from moments ago is gone. Seeing him like this—looking distraught—brings the reality of our situation crashing back. Sterling suddenly turns and we lock eyes. A thousand emotions are revealed in his eyes, but mostly there’s anger. There’s also a sadness in his gaze that I’ve never seen. It’s haunting. I swallow a lump in my throat, wondering what’s going on. “Sterling?” I ask, slowly approaching the balcony. It’s beautiful—plush pillows and twinkling lights, and a chilled bottle of white wine all nestled together in a romantic picnic for two. He lets out a heavy sigh and runs one hand through his hair. “This is beautiful,” I say since he hasn’t spoken, hasn’t even moved from the spot where he’s rooted, and his stony silence is killing me. “Are you okay?” “Just fine,” he says curtly, his gaze looking past me. He doesn’t seem fine. He seems off. Why go through all the effort if he’s just going to act sullen and withdrawn? And what could have possibly changed in the twenty-four hours since we last spoke on the phone? He seemed so excited—like he hadn’t a care in the world. Now it seems he doesn’t want me here. “If this is a bad time, if tonight doesn’t work . . .” I trail off, my voice suddenly shaky. “The meal’s already prepared.” He brushes past me, headed toward the kitchen. Unsure what to do, I follow behind him. He’s acting like an asshole, and I suddenly feel so stupid for getting all done up tonight. I’m not going to stand around and embarrass myself by begging for his attention. “You know what? Never mind. This was a bad idea, anyway. I’ll see myself out.” I turn and head for the front door, anger and rejection dueling inside me. It takes all of three seconds before Sterling’s long strides catch him up to me by the door. His grip around my wrist stops me. “Wait.” I turn and face him. I’m halfway between wanting to flee and staying to hear his explanation. He releases a heavy exhale. “I received a phone call just before you arrived.” With him so near, the combination of his clean soap and his spicy cologne intoxicates me. Memories of our intimate dinner rush back. But apparently tonight is not meant to be a repeat. Waiting to see what he’ll say next, I inhale and hold my breath. When he doesn’t continue, I ask, “Is everything okay?”

From the New York Times bestselling author of such “racy, sizzling Stark novels” (RT Book Reviews) as Release Me and Say My Name comes the provocative first Stark International Novel—the beginning of the S.I.N. series. It was wrong for us to be together, but it was even harder to be apart. The memory of Dallas Sykes burns inside of me. Everyone knows him as a notorious playboy, a man for whom women and money are no object. But to me, he’s still the one man I desperately crave—yet the one I can never have. Dallas knows me better than anyone else. We bear the same scars, the same darkness in our past. I thought I could move on by staying away, but now that we’re drawn together once more, I can’t fight the force of our attraction or the temptation to make him mine. We’ve tried to maintain control, not letting ourselves give in to desire. And for so long we’ve told ourselves no—but now it’s finally time to say yes. Dirtiest Secret is intended for mature audiences.Amazon US ** Amazon US Print ** Audible ** iBooks ** B&N/Nook
