Release Date: April 7, 2015

Type: Graphic Novel, Comic Books, Humor, TV-tie-in, Uhhhhhh...

About the BookNow you can read about the Belcher family (parents Bob and Linda, and their children Tina, Gene and Louise) with brand-new in-canon stories created by the TV show's producers, writers, and animators!

That's right, all-original stories that expand upon the fan-favorite animated series, including hilarious installments of "Louise's Unsolved Mysteries", "Tina's Erotic Friend Fiction", "A Gene Belcher Original Musical", "Letters Written by Linda", "Bob's Burgers of the Day", and much more!

My Review: I am a huge fan of the show, so of course I jumped at the chance to read a graphic novel based on it! Long time fans of Bob's Burgers will be able to read this graphic novel in each character's voice - and laugh their butts off! I snorted more than a few times while going through all the different sections devoted to each family member in every issue. I have to say, my favorite is probably Tina's Erotic Friend Fiction, just because it is so absolutely ridiculous.

My only note I have is that Gene gets to create a musical in every issue - awesome! - except... we can't hear it! Readers have no idea how the songs are supposed to go. Sure, it was mildly fun coming up with my own tunes, but Gene's musical genius is just that - genius - so I'd love to hear what he came up with. Other than that, this comic is totally aces in my book, and I cannot wait for more!

Cover Lovin': Great cover - really shows the ridiculousness that is the Belcher family!

Recommendation: For fans of the TV show, of course. The jokes and general story line would fly over a non-fan's head.

Final Rating: FOUR out of FIVE STARS (4/5)! Hilarious, great fun. My one big downer was that I had no clue how Gene's musical numbers were supposed to sound. But loved it all!

Happy Reading!

REVIEW: "The Master" by Kresley Cole

Disclaimer: I received a free, advanced copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Type: Book Two, Erotic, Contemporary, Romance, Mafia, Yummo, Accents, BDSM-lite?, This series is making my windows all steamy

Book One?: "The Professional" by Kresley Cole

About the Book: A need colder than Siberian winter meets an attitude hotter than the Florida sun in #1 New York Times bestselling author Kresley Cole’s sultry new Game Maker novel.

Everyone fears the Master…

Rich, irresistible politician/Mafiya boss Maksimilian Sevastyan prefers tall, obedient blondes to fulfill his…complicated desires. That is, until the icy Russian encounters a disobedient brunette whose exquisite little body threatens his legendary restraint.

Except her.

Catarina MarĂn was a well-off young wife until her world fell apart. Now she’s hiding out, forced to start working as an escort in Miami. Her very first client is beyond gorgeous, but when he tells her what he plans to do to her, Cat almost walks out of the door.

If pleasure is a game, play to win.

After their mind-blowing encounter burns out of control, the lovers crave more. If they escape the deadly threats surrounding them, can Maksim overcome his past—to offer Cat his future? Only then will she tempt him with what he really wants: her, all tied up with a bow. [Description provided by Goodreads.com.]

My Review: It took me an unreasonable amount of time to come up with something to say in this review besides "I loved it I loved it I loved it." That's very true, of course. I might have liked this even more than the first one. Doing a quick comparison to book one.. The Professional was very dramatic, but The Master is more emotional. The Master is one of those can't-stop-reading, one-sitting kind of reads. Saying a book is a "page-turner" may be considered cliche, but "The Master" is, for sure, a page-turning read.

I loved the characters - Cat is not about to take any of Maks' crap, but she will gladly take any pleasure he's offering (and maybe some he's not?). She's been through hell, and knows how to take what she wants, and how to be strong. Cat is the type of female character I can and do respect. And Maks.. Can I call him Maks? This is the kind of man I can find myself falling in love with. A tough guy with a heart of gold (at least when it matters), he's the perfect hero - at least in my opinion.

I can't wait for the next book in the series! Please give Dmitri a book!

Cover Lovin': I don't like smoking. I don't. I think cigars smell gross. But I really like this cover. And bonus points - it goes well with book one's cover.

Recommendation: For fans of Cole, anyone that loves bad billionaires, especially if they have a heart of gold under a really, really rough exterior.

Final Rating: FOUR POINT FIVE out of FIVE stars (4.5/5). I love this series so much. The drama is superb, and the steamy scenes are oh-so-good.

Happy Reading!
