After drooling through a video and two dozen photos, I clicked on the button to make an appointment to view the property. An application popped up, the top of which read: For the privacy and safety of our sellers, all prospective buyers are required to complete an application to view properties. Only buyers that meet our stringent prequalification criteria will be contacted. I snorted. Great prequalification criteria you have there, Eastwood. I wasn’t sure I had enough money to take the train uptown to get to that swanky place, much less buy it. God knows what I’d written that had qualified me. I closed the website and was just about to shut my laptop and go back to bed again when I decided to take one more peek at Mr. Romantic on Facebook. God, he was gorgeous. What if . . . I shouldn’t. No good ever came out of ideas formulated while drunk. I couldn’t. But . . . That face . . . And that note. So romantic. So beautiful. Plus . . . I’d never seen the inside of a twelve-million-dollar pent-house. I really shouldn’t. Then again . . . I’d spent the last two years doing everything I should do. And where had that gotten me? Right here. It’d gotten me right damn here—hungover and unemployed, sitting in this crappy apartment. Maybe it was time I did the things I shouldn’t be doing for a change. Review: ROYALLY YOURS by Emma Chase!

My Review: Lucky me, I got to read two AMAZING books in a row! First Secrets by Aleatha Romig, and now the newest Royal book by Emma Chase! This may be book four in the series, but it's actually a prequel - the infamous grandmother, Lenora - this is how she became Queen of Wessco. And she's not a pushover that is going to let a man take over her country and her crown. I loved her sass in the first three books, but she's in her ultimate element here.

This book focuses mostly on Lenora, since the romance element doesn't really come in until the halfway mark. But seeing these two grow towards each other, making a match made out of necessity so much more than it could be. Once again, Emma Chase wrote an AWESOME story, and I will not be able to choose my favorite of this series. They're all my favorite! And these are definitely ones I'll have to be buying in print for my keeper shelf.

Cover Lovin': How can I not love that?!

Recommendation: This is technically a prequel, so it can be read as a stand alone.

Final Rating: FIVE out of FIVE stars (5/5)!! Emma Chase blows me away with each Royal book. Every one is better than the last, and becomes my new favorite!

Review: SECRETS by Aleatha Romig!

 

My Review: This book. Oh my gosh, this book. Why aren't more people freaking out about this book?! Is this why people love this author? Because I see it now. I'm not very familiar with Aleatha Romig, but my gosh, clearly I've really been missing out all this time. Don't worry, I'll keep this review spoiler free, because I would never want to cheat you guys out of discovering all this on your own.

This is.. dark. Dark and twisted. And so amazingly well done. I loved the story, the pacing, the complex plot.. There was so much chemistry, passion, I'm not sure there's enough words for me to really convey all my thoughts. Another reviewer used the terms "dangerously delicious" and that is 100% correct. Read it, love it, pre-order book two!

Recommendation: Book 1, no prior knowledge necessary.
