Type: Contemporary, Series-but-stand-alone, Yes boss!
My Review: So this just didn't work for me. I tried. I was legitimately excited about this book - obviously, since I jumped at the chance to be a part of the blog tour. I liked the blurb, I enjoyed the previous book I read by this author, I figured I couldn't go wrong. But as I said, this just didn't feel right.
I liked the story itself, I just don't think it was executed well. The characters lacked depth, and the plot itself felt rushed. The relationship moved too quickly, and therefore made everything feel less than genuine. And unfortunately, this book had a few too many cliches. I'm fairly positive the ex-boyfriend was just one giant walking trope.
Cover Lovin': Well done, and fits in with the rest of the series.
Recommendation: No prior knowledge necessary - jump right in!
Final Rating: TWO POINT FIVE out of FIVE stars (2.5/5). So much potential, but it fell flat for me.
Happy Reading!

I’m the one who would rather be reading or writing than doing basically anything else like sleeping, eating, drinking…well, I can drink at the same time actually. I’m a multi-tasker. Boxed wine actually…because I’m a classy b!tc4 like that. The only things that tear me away from writing and reading are my kids, the hubby, and my day job, but I have to say that about work so I don’t get fired. They don’t know that I read or write while I wait in between meetings, during meetings, on lunch breaks, in the restroom (Okay no, not then, that’s just gross). Basically anywhere I can.
