LORDS OF LOVE AND LEGENDS Fun Facts
(Post II ~ 2 Fun Facts by BJ, 2 by SE)

AM/SEW: SOME LIKE IT KILTED’s hero, Bran of Barra, is my all-time favorite hero. If I could truly have any hero I’ve ever written, it would be him. Here’s a (somewhat naughty) mini-excerpt to show what a rogue he is:
She turned back to him, her heart flipping to see that his smile had gone from crooked to smoldering.
“Must you do that?” She could hardly speak.
“Do what?”
“Smile at me like-”
“Like I’m ready to eat you?” His grin turned wicked. “Och, lass, if you only knew...”

AM/SEW:  In Winter Fire, the heroine’s home, Eilean Creag Castle, is based on Eilean Donan Castle, perhaps the most popular castle in Scotland. It is certainly the most photographed and appears on a bazillion Scottish romance novel covers. The hero’s castle Druimbegan was inspired by Dunvegan Castle on Skye. I was back in Scotland just a few months ago and made my usual pilgrimage to Skye. This photo shows me at Eilean Creag Castle, better known as Eilean Donan.

BJ:
The fun fact about THE WICKED LADY is that it started with a sentence…. “She didn’t mean to shoot the man.”  That is all I had when I started the book, but it was a fun book to write….well I didn’t think so at the time, but once it was done, then it was fun.  This is a book that will make you laugh and cheer for the underdog.

BJ:
Somehow I’ve managed to put a Scottish character in all my books – even the westerns.  I love Scotland as well as England.  My husband is a Scot.  I’ve had letters from readers wanting me to write Kristen’s sister’s story.  However all the readers want me to write the next book in whatever they are reading and one day I will, but as I’ve gotten older I’ve gotten slower, so just give me a little while and I will make you all happy.  I’d rather write a great book than a bunch of fast books.  Do you agree?

BJ:  To this day when I read THE WICKED LADY, I still laugh and that is what I want to do for my readers.  Make you smile and to forget about all your problems and bills if only for a little while.
