My Review: This story had a lot of good things going for it. First off - it's a friends to lovers story line, and that's an instant classic. Next up, it was the hero that knew he was in love and wanted the relationship, and it was the heroine that was reluctant. While I would see that here or there before, I'm seeing it even more now, and I love it. In so many books it takes some big act or accident, or whatever, for the hero to realize that he's truly in love with the heroine. But not here - Daniel knows he's in love, he knows what he wants, and he's going to do whatever it takes to get her to fall in love with him too.
Now to what made me a little hesitant about this book - Amy. I wanted to shake her and make her realize that she was throwing away a good thing. And no matter what her good intentions were, she was just hurting everyone involved. I get it, being betrayed by a former love sucks royally and does make you look at future relationships a different way. But she just seemed like she was constantly shoving her head in the sand, and neglecting the feelings of the person that is supposedly her best friend.
Cover Lovin': Woo boy, it would be hard to pass this one up!
Recommendation: No prior knowledge necessary!
Final Rating: THREE AND A HALF out of FIVE stars (3.5/5). I thought this was a fun, one-sitting read. I loved Daniel, and he's dedication to getting what he wanted.
Happy Reading!

About Jess Dee: An avid romance reader since her early teens, Jess knew one day, when she grew up, she’d have to write her own love stories. And she did. Although the first one was pretty awful. But once she discovered it was okay to leave the bedroom door open in her romance novels, she decided to leave everything open. Buttons, zips, pants, number of lovers...Which is why her books are all steamy erotic romances. Jess’s first published story was originally contracted in 2005. Since then, she’s completed over 30 books, and is finally doing the work she loves most—writing romance. While Jess lived most of her life in South Africa, the last fourteen years have been spent in Australia. From the fast-paced Sydney lifestyle to the laid-back islands and beaches, there’s always another gorgeous Aussie setting for a contemporary romance.
