Review: THEIRS TO TAKE by Laura Kaye!

My Review: I'm torn about this one. On one hand, I think author Laura Kaye did a good job handling a trio relationship, and all the worries that might arise from that. She also, of course, did a great job with the hot and steamy scenes - no surprise there because she is a master at it, for sure. But this story felt like it was lacking some depth. And I think that stems from the fact that it seems like these characters fall in love too quickly. If this book had been longer, so the audience could actually experience all the time they spent together working on her boat, I think it would have all felt natural. But due to space constraints, the time they spend working together is mostly breezed through. But I think we needed that time.

This book had a different feel from the others, and I think that's because it takes place mostly outside of the club itself. It also doesn't feature BDSM anywhere near as heavily as the previous books. Instead, the focus is on making a menage work - which is where it should be. This dynamic can be hard to pull off. But unsurprisingly, Laura Kaye pulls it off with flying colors. Because she is a rockstar.

Cover Lovin: Fits great with the rest of the series!

Recommendation: This, like the rest of the series, can be read as a stand alone.

Final Rating: THREE POINT FIVE out of FIVE stars (3.5/5)!! Lacked some depth, but the well written trio and steamy scenes made up for it!

Happy Reading!
