My Review: This was good, but I think it was a case of a storytelling style just not working for me. And I really hate when that happens - this book had a lot going for it, such as some extreme alpha heroes, so I'm always disappointed when I just don't jive with the book. For me, this author seemed to have more of a "tell, don't show" style, which always makes it hard for me to really sink into the story. I do think it got better as time went on, or maybe I just got more used to it. But once I was on the downhill slide, everything seemed to move faster.
It also just felt too... even, if that makes sense. Usually a story has some natural progression - like a roller coaster, since rises and falls, especially when it comes to the very end. But it didn't feel like there was much of a big climax at the end. I also expected things to come to head with Vamp's cheating past, but that never really happened, either.
But overall, this was an enjoyable read. I'd read something else by this author in the future. Especially since Razor seems to have caught my interest.

Cover Lovin': I'm liking the sand-tone.
Recommendation: For fans of Kristin Ashley. Can be read as a stand-alone, but there is a lot of recurring characters from the first book.
Final Rating: THREE out of FIVE stars (3/5)! Good, but not great. I can see fans of Kristin Ashley loving this series, but there was some stuff that just fell flat for me.
