My Review: You know how some books bring you into the story slowly, giving you a chance to acclimate to an unfamiliar setting? Well pft, screw that! Sexy Lies and Rock & Roll dives right in - with Evan getting a visit from the cops asking for his whereabouts the night before, since his former bandmate was murdered. I was sucked in already, but then Evan and Emma met for the first time, and I was hooked for good. Their initial interaction sold me for sure. FYI - if you're suspected of murder, probably best to not piss off your attorney.
I think what really made this book work for me was the character interactions - mostly those between Emma and Evan, but author Sawyer Bennett does a good job of making her characters, and how they speak to one another, feel genuine. This isn't the first book I've read by her, but this is my favorite thus far. And it definitely solidifies her on my watch list!

Final Rating: FOUR out of FIVE stars! This was so cute, I loved them both. Sawyer Bennett has been on my watch list for a while now - and she should be on yours too!
