My Review: Ah, it's happened - a book that broke my awesome book streak. Ready for Flynn left me feeling more than a little torn. I liked the story - I thought there was a good amount of drama, I was intrigued enough to want to know what would happen next. It was the storytelling itself that I had problems with. From page one, this book is definitely one of those "tell, don't show".. which is hard for me to get into. Being shown the story is what makes a reader get sucked in, but being told makes me very aware the entire time that I am reading something, not experiencing it.
I had a few other issues here and there. For every little thing I found that bugged me, there would be a plot twist that I liked enough to keep me going. For that reason, this book is difficult to review. If asked, I'd say this was good, or okay.. not great.
Cover Lovin': I don't know which part I like the best! 1 or 3, maybe..
Recommendation: This is a continuing series, so you'll want to read all three.
Final Rating: THREE out of FIVE stars (3/5)! Story is good, but the storytelling was rough for me.
