Review: COME CLOSER by Brenda Rothert!

My Review: Do you ever pick up a book because the synopsis sounds fairly interesting and you're willing to give something different a shot... and then the book BLOWS YOUR MIND? Well, if you haven't, then you definitely need to read this book because trust me, you'll experience it. I think I picked this book because I was interested in the whole "forbidden" love story. A doctor and his patient? That's very naughty - and, therefore, caught my interest. But this book is so much more than that, and it's so much better than I could have expected. 

I probably should wait a while before writing this review, because I just finished the book and all I want to do is gush. But I can't help it, I have to get my feelings out right now. I loved this, 100%. Maybe the whole confessing their love happened a bit too fast for my taste, but the story itself? I was losing my mind. I was almost late going back to work from my lunch break because I couldn't put this down. And I picked it back up the second I got home, despite the fact that I needed to make dinner. What's the point of dinner when time spent with a good book is just as fulfilling?!

I'll admit it, I read a lot of books because I like the smutty scenes. This wasn't one of those books. Oh sure, the sexy scenes were hot, but instead of taking my time and savoring them - I kept up my speed-reading pace because I absolutely had to know what was going to happen. I know in the author's note Brenda Rothert mentioned this book is different than her usual work - but if this magic is what she's capable of? Consider me her newest number one fan. 

Cover Lovin': Very well done. I'd definitely be hooked.

Recommendation: Stand-alone. And you should definitely enjoy some suspense with your romance.

Final Rating: FIVE out of FIVE stars (5/5)! Couldn't put it down, and fully lost myself in the story from beginning to end. Seriously, I got hooked at 2%, and I didn't see the rest of the world until I got to the very last page. Highly recommended.
