Review: FLIP THE BEAT by Roxanne D. Howard!

My Review: A romance where the hero is a musician? Sign me up! Any reader of this blog knows how much I love a rock star romance.. though Evan isn't exactly a rock star, just a hottie that plays in a club every so often. I consider that close enough. And Evan certainly was a hottie. And Evan was the shining star of this book, for sure. He was what made me finish this, because I had to know what he was going to do.

While Evan was awesome, Molly just didn't jive for me. She seemed a bit too fake, like her character was just.. a surface, not further developed. And I was getting a bit of a special snowflake vibe. All that said, clearly I enjoyed this enough to keep reading. And that was mostly due to the steamy scenes. The rest of the book may have been so-so, but this author definitely knows how to write some hot, hot, hot scenes.

Cover Lovin': Simple and sweet.

Recommendation: A stand-alone.

Final Rating: THREE out of FIVE stars (3/5)! An enjoyable, quick read.

Molly Ivers thinks she is falling for the opposite of Prince Charming, and she knows she should give him up, but, oh, the temptation.

WHEN YOU WISH UPON A STAR
Molly Ivers thought she found Prince Charming, complete with a devilishly sexy accent, and six months ago she gave into their undeniable attraction. But the swarm of ever-present groupies was so not part of the fairy tale. As much as it hurt her heart, she shut out rocker Evan Castle.
Now, on the verge of finishing her graduate degree and moving to Paris—she even hires a French life coach—Molly begins to realize Evan, who hasn't given up on her, might be the man of her dreams after all.
