My Review: And my reading streak continues! This book hit me right in the feels. And by that, I mean this book punched me right in the heart, and I loved every second of it. Second-chance romances are my jam (along with a million other things), because I love that shared history, the feeling of abandonment and betrayal, that fight to make things right during a second go-around. And boy oh boy, you get plenty of that here.
Not only was this an emotional thrill-ride, but it was a suspenseful one too. I was never quite prepared for everything that happened, and that made this quite the page-turner. This was one of those "maybe my boss won't notice if I don't come back from lunch" sort of books. I mean, really, is my job so important when compared to needing to know what happened next?! This author did a fantastic job writing characters I cared about, a relationship that I was deeply engaged in, and a story that had me desperate for more.
