Hip. Hop. A hip to the hop and you don't stop. BLOG HOPS!

Welcome to all new and old visitors! I'm Amanda, and this is Novel Addiction - my own little corner of Bloglandia. Feel free to grab my "flag" (aka banner) on the right hand side if you feel so inclined. And keep an eye on my "Contests/Upcoming Excitements" section for..  well, contests and upcoming excitements. *Wink*

As for a little bit about myself.. I'm 23, work in a library, and review books for both my own blog and Romance Reviews Today. So as you can imagine, I am constantly around books - it's a good feeling. I'm also currently in a musical, which is why my reviews have been a little sporadic recently - but I'm still reading like no tomorrow! Follow me on Goodreads to see what I'm reading at any given moment, and you can even find me on Twitter.. where you will probably be bombared by book-y news and randomosity.

Now, on to the hippity hops!

Photobucket
What attracts you most to a book? Is it the cover, blurb, or something else? Well! If I'm just browsing the bookstore, it's usually the cover or title that catches my attention. But with all the blogs I follow nowadays, I'll see someone mention a book on with "Waiting on Wednesday" or just a random post, and I find my interest piqued.

Book Blogger Hop
If you find a book you love, do you hunt down other books by the same author? Definitely! After reading "Bet Me" by Jennifer Crusie, I found all of her other novels, read them.. and they're still some of my favorites. Same with Sherrilyn Kenyon (her historicals, paranormal, etc), and Lynsay Sands (historical, paranormal).

What is on your current playlist right now? Ha! It's a mix of songs that I have downloaded from the library (for free! Thanks Freegal!). Said playlist includes Three Days Grace, plenty of Glee songs (despite the fact that I don't really watch the show),  and then I've added in the songs from the musical I'm in ("Urinetown") because we're getting down to the wire, and I need to make sure I have all my harmonies and such memorized.

I have no rehearsal tonight (it's amazing!) so I might actually be able to do the Friday hops ON FRIDAY! I look forward to meeting all my new follows and visiting your blogs!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend, and a Happy Easter (if you celebrate it)

Happy Reading!

Rather than purchase the entire back list of a new favorite author, I try to get them through the library. Come see which author I'm reading through right now.

Hopping by and now following.

I definitely like the get as much as can by an author I like either from the bookstore or the library. I need to get better about that though because I tend to stockpile and horde even before I'm done with the first book.

Have a great weekend!

New follower here via the Friday blog hop. I am a new contemporary romance writer and a reader of almost everything! Hope you stop by and check out my blog.

And when I find an author I love, I have to not only hunt down everything they've ever written, I have to OWN it.
