It's Friday.. Friday.. Follow my book blog Friday..

Another Friday? Already?! YAY!

Welcome to all - new and old friends. My name is Amanda - I'm 23, I work in a library, and I review books.. whenever I manage to find the time. For the past couple weeks I've had a slightly wonky reading and reviewing schedule, but I have a good reason! I'm currently in a musical ("Urinetown.. The Musical!"), and we're right in the middle of rehearsals. It's going well, but rehearsals will be picking up soon, so I will have even less time.. but luckily I still have plenty of great giveaways, guest posts, and more going on to keep everyone busy!

Giveaways currently running:
Ends 4/14: Giveaway with author Becca Dale. Winner gets either "Untamable" or another book from her backlist. Go HERE to enter.
Ends 4/14: Giveaway with author Jill Noelle. Two winners, each will receive an ecopy of "Mine" by Jill! Go HERE to enter.
And make sure to check out Rachel Thompson's, author of "A Walk in the Snark," guest post!

And now for the hop-ty hops!

Do you judge a book by its cover?: I hate to say it.. but I do. A cover is what gets me interested enough to pick a book up. And I've missed out on great books because I was hesitant about the cover, I know that. But I also read terrible books because the cover was pretty... "Halo" for example. I've learned my lesson! Somewhat..

Question: Make up your own question for this week! Hmm.. List a book series you will continue to read, no matter what happens.

I can't wait to visit everyone's blogs when I get home from work!
Happy Reading!

I agree! The cover usually gets me interested in the book first. That doesn't always mean I will buy it though. lol!

Hello. I'm a new follower from Follow Friday. I said almost the same thing. It's funny how much a pretty cover can influence us, isn't it? Happy Friday!

Hi Amanda! Old follower here!

For me, it is the cover and the title that tempt me to read the blurb. If the blurb reads great, I'll grab the book. I remember the first time I saw Harry Potter's book covers, I was like, O_o...not sure if I liked them. Love the inside but the covers weren't really to my taste.
Happy Follow Friday!!!

Yes, I often judge books by their covers, and I'm so glad when my old favorites get much-needed makeovers.

I'm a new follower, and invite you to check out my sites and follow me as well.

I try not to judge a book solely by it's cover, but I definitely do appreciate the good ones.

It's the first thing that attracts me to the book.

stop and see mine and my giveaways.

I appreciate beautiful covers but really don't take covers into consideration when picking out books. I like spoilers so I read the synopsis first.

I almost always pick up a book because of it's cover, but I've learned to never buy one just because I like the cover. I'm already a follower! My FF is at Coffee Table Reviews

I think we can all agree that even the most beautiful book cover can't sell a book if the writing's not there. Book cover art may, at best, help steer me in the book's direction (especially if I'm in a book store) but it's not going to hypnotize me into buying it right then and there.

I expound on all the marketing qualities of a good book. Just follow me back to my book blog - http://www.howardsherman.net

Thank God it's Follow Friday!?

New follower! I always judge a book by it's cover! I can't help it; I'm superficial like that, haha :) But a book is a book no matter what! Have a happy weekend!

It seems like it must be human nature to be more interested in something attractive than something not as pretty. Poor ugly books! :D

Hi there! A late hopper and new follower! :)

I admit that I do judge books by covers. It is what makes me interested in knowing more. It's the description and storyline that decides if I buy it or not though!

My FF can be found here!
